Keeping your Tesla’s windshield clean is crucial for safety and visibility, especially during inclement weather. However, cleaning the bottom part of the windshield panel can be challenging, as it’s often obstructed by the hood of the car. Fortunately, Tesla has a solution for this: the Windshield Wiper Service Mode.
To activate the Windshield Wiper Service Mode, simply turn off the car and press and hold down the windshield wiper stalk. The wipers will then move to a vertical position, giving you full access to the windshield panel without any obstructions. You can then easily clean the bottom part of the windshield without any hassle.
This feature is especially useful during the winter months when snow and ice can build up at the bottom of the windshield, making it difficult to clean. With Windshield Wiper Service Mode, you can quickly and easily clear away any debris without having to struggle with the awkward angle.
It’s important to note that this feature is only available on Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles. If you own a Model Y, unfortunately, Windshield Wiper Service Mode is not currently available.
