Switching between different map modes is an essential function for Tesla drivers, as it can help you navigate your surroundings more easily. However, the process of switching between modes may not always be obvious. If you’re having trouble with this, don’t worry – there’s a simple solution that can help you change map modes in a snap.
You may have thought that the option to switch map modes is no longer available when you repeatedly click on the map mode icon on the right edge of the map. However, this is not the case.
You can still change map modes just by touching anywhere on the map. After doing so, the map mode will appear in the turn-by-turn directions in the far upper left corner of the area. You can also pull down on the turn-by-turn direction area to make the map mode appear. Simply touch to toggle between the different modes.
There are three map modes available for Tesla drivers: Always North Up, Heading Up, and Route Overview Mode. Each mode offers different benefits, depending on your preferences and driving conditions.
