If you’re driving a Plaid Model S, Model X, or Model 3, you have the advantage of a second screen in the backseat. This means that passengers in the back can control the music without having to ask the driver to change the song.
However, if you’re driving a non-Plaid Tesla model, you can still achieve this functionality via Spotify. Simply share your Spotify account with friends or family members, and make sure to play at least one song from the main Spotify app in the car. This will allow your passengers to control the music from their phones in the back seats.
To share your Spotify account, simply go to Settings in the Spotify app, and select “Social.” From there, you can link your account to your friends or family members’ accounts. This will allow them to access your playlists and control the music in the car.
It’s important to note that this feature is only available if you have a Premium Spotify account. If you’re using the free version, you won’t be able to share your account or control the music from multiple devices.
